MALIBOU LAKE AREA, Los Angeles County — November’s nearby public recreation calendar includes several opportunities to explore the local environment. Malibu Creek State Park lists a Bird Walk with the Audubon Society November 7, Archaeology Day November 14 and a Welcome Walk November 15, 2026.
The park is southeast of the Malibou Lake area at 1925 Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas. It offers opportunities for viewing birds, hiking and learning about local natural and cultural history, but parkland use is subject to rules and weather conditions.
Before making plans
The general event listing establishes dates, not exact meeting points, reservation requirements or a guarantee of free participation. Visitors should verify the individual program details, check any posted red-flag restrictions and confirm whether parking fees or passes apply. Some trails may have access rules that differ from the picnic and campground areas.
For visitors bringing pets, the park allows dogs in paved park roads, parking lots, designated picnic areas and campgrounds, but prohibits dogs on dirt hiking trails.
